Causes of the Korean War and the Influence of Joseph Stalin

My name is Jackson Morris and I'm a student of PACE University in NYC majoring in History. The topic of my paper and of this site is based on a paper I did in an International Relations class about the causes that lead up to the Korean War. The reason why the Korean War is important to me is because my late grandfather Robert Lawerence was in one of the original MASH units as a doctor. I discussed the Korean War with my grandmother before writing the original paper and was struck to fin that he was often informed about as fast as the news was on developements and causes. He'd go somewhere and do his job and wouldn't find out why for several weeks. I also asked her what she thought caused the war and from asking her about that decided to trying figuring it out for myself after the fact when more information would be declassified.
